Heavy commercial transport vehicles operate under very high load capacities and at a continuous working pace. The material alloy, wall thickness and seal quality of the parts used in these vehicles directly determine driving safety and fuel consumption.
Key Criteria When Choosing Parts
When buying a spare part, looking only at its appearance or label is not enough. The torque and vibration forces heavy vehicles are exposed to cause very rapid fatigue in low-quality metals and plastics.
Heat and Pressure Resistance: Hoses around the turbo, compressor and exhaust in particular must withstand high temperatures.
Millimetre Tolerance: Parts that fit their original seat perfectly are not forced during installation and do not damage surrounding connections.
Certified Production: Products from companies with quality assurance systems and standards should be preferred.
The Low-Cost Trap
Low-quality imitation parts on the market may seem economical at first purchase; but a water hose that bursts after a short time can cause the engine to overheat and lead to huge costs, up to a cracked engine block.
